What are Healthy Dog Foods?

This subject is very close to my heart. Diet and medication are two of my favorites. This is the message I share daily with my patients.I n fact, there are many foods that provide beneficial health benefits for your dog. It is a very simple food to add to your dog’s diet, no matter what type of food he eats. You can read more from https://www.dogscribe.com

The good thing is that no matter where people come to visit me, I’m open to diet changes and if they’re not ready to switch from kibble to raw (my ultimate goal) it’s the food that can do a big difference for your dog. These are very simple things you can add.

Food is traditional medicine. Modern medicine has changed little on this over the past 100 years, but luckily it’s back.

Historically, we haven’t had nutrition education in veterinary schools, even human doctors. Many trained vets are limited and may not be fair. This is why many veterinarians are rarely interested in it. But that doesn’t mean food isn’t important…

“If the diet isn’t right, the medicine won’t work. If you have a healthy diet, you don’t need medication. ”
Nutrition is the basis of true health. It is body fat and provides a building block for the maintenance of health, tissue healing and energy.

This is why most holistic therapists pay a lot of attention to diet and nutrition.

Whether our patients are coming in or what their concerns are, one of the first things we talk about is diet and health. We must consider food as the most important medicine we consume every day. Providing fresh, healthy, raw or undercooked food is essential for your dog’s good health. Here are some of the foods I recommend to my patients daily. In general, they are great additions to almost any dog food.

Bone broth is beneficial for dogs. It’s definitely a healing potion.

What is Bone Broth? The bones simmered over low heat for several days with apple cider vinegar. This way, all of these nutrients are broken down slowly, making them bioavailable in the body. Benefits of Bone Broth:

It improves digestion and helps cure “bloating”. All diseases start in the stomach (autoimmune, allergies, asthma, chronic pain)! Gelatin soothes and repairs mucous membranes to help close the digestive tract from damage and toxins that can enter the bloodstream. Gelatin helps break down proteins and fats in foods, making them easier to digest.
Helps detoxify the liver – Glycine is a powerful precursor to the production of glutathione, a powerful detoxifier. The mind is a very heavy physical body. It works great for your body. The most important thing is to get rid of the germs that our dog needs to get rid of his body. It cleans chemicals, hormones and waste. It also provides nutrients, acids and electrolytes that support the detoxification process.
Reduces pain – Glycine and proline are powerful anti-inflammatories.
Joint pain relief – Recent studies have shown that bone marrow extracts can reduce joint pain.
Strengthens Bones, Joints, Tendons, Ligaments & Ligaments – Glycine is essential for building energy. Prevents and stores muscle protein (helps prevent atrophy in adult dogs). Collagen contains proline, glucosamine and chondroitin, which support cartilage and joints.
Increase uptake and absorption of minerals – Bone marrow is rich in nutrients (calcium and phosphorus) and trace minerals (magnesium and zinc). Bone broth helps absorb these nutrients.
Improves the immune system. Provides the body with the tools to promote antioxidant activity which helps prevent infections. Improves skin health – Collagen strengthens the skin and prevents aging.
Supports Brain Function – Glycine is an important neurotransmitter in the brain. Bone broth improves cognition and memory and promotes better sleep.
You can make your own bone marrow or buy it from several specialty pet stores.

What is milk? There are many reasons why I like milk, but I like goat’s milk. Milk is: Weakly allergic – Low lactose content
Due to the low fat content, it is easy to digest and absorb.
Higher levels of MCTs (30-335% goat milk vs 15 15-2020% milk)
High levels of vitamin A, zinc and selenium
As a general rule, we recommend ¼ cup per day for small dogs, ½ cup per day for medium dogs and ¼ cup per day for large dogs. Start with a small sum and work on that amount.
